This business class seat design is embodying a carefully curated evolution of the brand’s cabin styling - by now typical for Air France - with the pure and minimalist dark blue and white design. Design Investment not only created the styling, seamlessly integrating the Air France design language, but gave an in depth thought and development to the seat architecture to maximize the space for the passenger and to improve passenger comfort. The result is a seat with doors for maximum privacy, a full lie flat bed with almost 2m length, a centre dividing panel and a touchpad to control the seat environment. The personal stowage space with vanity mirror and headphone hook has the Air France signature detail of an illuminated hypo-camp in the door.
The seat is a new herringbone seat product addition to Stelia Aerospace long-haul seat catalogue named Opera A350. It offers a full-lie-flat bed, full privacy, and full aisle access, making it the epitome of the “3F” concept. Further features are a 21” seat width, a 20” monitor screen and an advanced seat kinematics.
The approach of optimising the seat footprint has been also applied to the first row seats of the business class forward cabin. These seats benefit from additional space, thanks to the design of open front row monuments with extra legroom, additional stowage and a wardrobe for coats and jackets complete with a long mirror.
Design Investment designed these spacious front row seats with an open ottoman, providing extra legroom and space for baby bassinets. Extra stowage is provided in the form of a drawer for shoes, making these seats ideal for passengers traveling with infants or those who require more storage space.
